Leather

For my final project, I chose to focus on leather as the central theme, with the leather jacket as the key styling piece.

My inspiration came from two main sources: Yves Saint Laurent, one of my favorite designers, and biker culture, which has been part of my life since childhood — my dad being a biker himself.
Saint Laurent has always represented for me the perfect balance of elegance, sexiness, and coolness, and the designer was also a pioneer in bringing leather into high fashion. This made him the ideal reference point for my concept. At the same time, bikers played a crucial role in shaping the cultural significance of the leather jacket, and I wanted to honor that influence as well.

I started by creating a mood board and storyboard to establish the vibe of the shoot — a fusion between high fashion sophistication and rebellious biker attitude. My styling aimed to blend masculine and feminine elements, reflecting the versatility of the leather jacket.

Since I didn’t have the opportunity to have a model, I styled and modeled the looks myself using pieces from my own wardrobe. I paired the black leather jacket with denim, a silk dress, a button-down shirt, a belt, and various accessories, creating different outfits that highlight the jacket’s adaptability.

I’m really proud of how the final images turned out — they capture the mood I envisioned and represent my personal style authentically.
