Print fairytale

To create the elements, I was inspired by the cover of the Gengiskan band's music videos and classic fairy tales, which is where the characters of a cowboy, a maiden, a boy, and a horse came from. The print aims to convey magic, playfulness, and joy. I made a complex pattern using the half-drop method, which is a great way to quickly make the design look more dynamic.

Affinity Designer/Procreate

I made all the drawings on paper and realized that some of them just didn't work with the other elements. When I finally decided which illustrations would compose the print, I passed the drafts to the Ipad. I used Procreate to make adjustments to the character drafts.

I used Procreate to do color testing, so I realized that her hair looked better in the reddish tone, in addition the polka dot pattern seemed more interesting. Finally, I decided that I would wear the pink color for the top of the dress and added a flower to the character's hand to contrast with the dress.
