Introduction
I really enjoy LoFi images and dream of making my own one day. When I saw Jim's course, I just had to sign up. I love the moodiness in his work.
Supplies
An iPad Air, Apple Pro Pencil, and Procreate.
The Blank Page
A blank page is terrifying. What I liked though, about this course is that everything went slowly. I can't tell you it was easy but I challenged myself to keep at it every day. The hardest for me was the shading and the most fun was the animation.

The Sketch
In the course, we are to make a rough sketch and then color it -- this helps in committing to a color palette and idea. Jim's use of midtones were so inspiring. I really have to work on color palettes! I must have come up with eight or so palettes and while I auditioned every one of them, they just weren't quite right. I wanted something not too muted but still something that gives a moody, chill vibe. It was the other morning when I looked out my window and took a photo of my shrubs/plants. I pulled those colors and just deepened them or lightened them to give me enough colors to play with.

Finally!
Loved this course! I will continue to hone my skills: practice, practice, practice.
