I was keen to get it published in time for Halloween.
You can check it out at https://paglalayag.net/tula/2024/10/31/lihn-siu-gwai/
I'll continue to update (paint, etc) it as I go.
It started out with this creative brief that I put together about 6 weeks ago. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1rs3-yULaMdj9TkU8sQNEAnDP5w8GQg7rC8D0eEIq-Jw

After the brief, I laid out all the frames in chalk on the wall (guaranteed to be super rough sketching that way haha)

after I had the scenes basically framed out, I started going after the key scenes and tricky poses.

By the time I was happy with the most important poses and environments that hold the story together, I was able to go after individual elements (ghost, trees) and level up on each of those individually with youtube vids, etc

I didn't finalize the clothes details of her clothes or face until i'd done a whole stack of inked girls from a book I picked up locally

Teacher PlusLove the art process, from wall sketches to studying poses and characters. Page layouts are good, very creative.
Main points to improve, that are sure to come with more time at the drawing board: anatomy, textures and style!
