I'll tell you some things that can make your character stand out:
If you use some additional lights opposite at 45 degrees to the direct main light, you can make the character's silhouette be illuminated from the side or from behind. Always with an adequate intensity so that it does not compete with the main light.
You can also give the character a little room above, so he won't be so oppressed in the frame.
Add some objects behind and in front of the character strategically, out of focus, to draw attention to the character.
