Since I haven't drawn or painted for years, I thought this course might be a good way to start practicing again. I know that it is primarily for beginners, but my intention was just to be open to other techniques, I wanted to see a different approach, to learn.
I'm a perfectionist - for many years I kept on buying sketchbooks, but I was to afraid to make any mistakes, so I have a lot of empty sketchbooks. I wanted to change this and to allow myself to make mistakes.
This sketchbook is quite small - 16x17cm, but I like that I can take it with me anywhere I go. For the sketches, drawings I used Faber-Castell pencils, B and 2B, and for the small details a mechanical pencil with a 0.5mm lead.

I love your honesty about being a perfectionist. I have no doubt that you will create amazing portraits in this course.

@thursday0147 thank you, I appreciate it! Yes, sometimes it can be really hard being a perfectionist - it affects your work too much. You simply don't start because you're afraid it won't be good enough, the result won't be perfect... or you spend too much time even with a simple sketch, because you want it to be perfect :)) And when you finally finish it, you start analyzing it noticing the mistakes :)))
