You can follow along it's song, making your way through the temperate forest of southern Chile, but the Chucao likes to hide beneath the ferns, and wont reveal itself to you that easily. In Chile, it common knowledge that Chucaos can predict a safe journey... so if you fee it sing close by, consider yourself lucky.
Antonia Reyes Montealegre is a wildlife illustrator turned writer and storyteller from Chile. She explores her homeland and faraway places of all sorts, capturing stories of wilderness that inspire us to reconsider our relationship to nature, while promoting care and conservation of species and landscapes around the world.
Her course Naturalist Bird Illustration focuses on illustration as an insightful approach to nature and a powerful tool for developing deeply needed empathy towards the living world.
