Lately, I have been reflecting a lot on perfectionism and procrastination; they are issues that affect me in my practice with the violin and often come up in conversations with my students. We share a perfectionist trait that makes us suffer, and I find learning how to manage it essential.
How do we stay motivated and enjoy the process with something as intangible and ephemeral as musical interpretation? Looking for phrases that disarm the distortion of reality that causes us to believe that perfectionism can help. I find them useful, and I hope my students do too, and that is the intention behind these vignettes.
Thanks, Sol, for this course that has served as a trigger to give shape to these ideas and do something with it.
The snail character symbolizes the slow learning process with the violin. Themes such as feeling capable, being enough, doing and playing for pure enjoyment and not to get something in return, and the beauty of the small... are also there.

What a beautiful character, I love his simplicity, his expression, his gesture, very consistent with his message.
It's beautiful that you are a violin teacher, my son is in classes now hahaha, and to see how he is catching on, how he is discovering music, it is very beautiful
Darlings!!
