Retrofuturistic Illustration with Procreate

I began the project by scouring my Pinterest boards for inspiration. I had quite a few examples of 'retro-futurist' styles but want to bring in other inspiration from vintage logos and book covers.
In addition to Ada's guidance, I included some inspiration for colours. I gathered these up on Mac's 'Freeform' app.

Then onto some initial concept sketches.

Two compositional concepts began to form from the ideas I sketched.

I took these into Procreate and followed Ada's excellent tuition.

I know it's a better way of doing things... but I took a shortcut and used texture images from Unsplash to overlay on the images.
