Next year I’ll be hosting art retreats in Africa so hoping to see these birds for real!I added pops of blue/grey to the body of the right bird to cool the piece down and add contrastAt this stage, I was tempted to leave the body as it was, but decided to add more detail at the next stage.I generally always paint onto dry paper and then let the colours bleed into each other, encouraging them with extra waterI decided to build this piece up a section at a time as it was fairly large at A2

@labrat thank you! I’m carrying out some fund raisers at Kariega Reserve, South Africa in conjunction with the Kariega Foundation next May… and then an art retreat in Morocco next September. What a beautiful part of the world you live in!
