La Gran Vía, Madrid. I've found so few places in my life with a name so suitable. The grandeur of its architecture surrounds you and invites you to keep looking up, searching for every intricate detail, perfectly placed, in an effort to stay with you as the perfect -and not so modest mental image of the city. An endless line of beauty on either side.
This series (in progress) was born as a personal love letter to Madrid, a celebration of life as you constantly walk through its streets. The subject choice, as it happens through most of my work, comes with the need of looking at those places that are already embedded in the collective imaginary, but in a different way, with my personal style and approach. This is the way I look at the greatest of the streets.
