TERREMOTO

"Terremoto" nace como un proyecto fotográfico documental personal donde reflexiono y problematizo la idea de mujer-madre-artista. Sus imágenes forman parte de un cuerpo de trabajo mas grande, registro de diez años de mi cotidiano familiar. Frente a tanto material decido dividirlo en septenios (Rudolf Steiner). "Terremoto" es el primero. Hablo de la maternidad real y los tiempos que la conforman. El agotamiento, la carga mental, el miedo a perder espacios ganados, el tiempo que se diluye como el agua, la matrescencia (Dana Raphael) y la necesidad de seguir produciendo. ¿Cómo se sustenta todo eso? La maternidad me lleva por caminos sinuosos y no deja de provocarme. Sublimo en imágenes mis pesares y sentires. "Terremoto" es la consecuencia de lo vivido, de lo que soy.

"Terremoto" was born as a personal documentary photographic project where I reflect and problematize the idea of woman-mother-artist. Its images are part of a larger body of work, a record of ten years of my daily family life. Faced with so much material, I divided it into septennia (Rudolf Steiner). "Earthquake" is the first one. I talk about real motherhood and the times that make it up. The exhaustion, the mental load, the fear of losing earned spaces, the time that dilutes like water, the putrescence (Dana Raphael), and the need to keep producing. How is all that sustained? Motherhood leads me down winding roads and never ceases to provoke me. I sublimate my sorrows and feelings into images. "Earthquake" is the consequence of what I have lived, of what I am.
