Once happy with the digital composition, I recreated it for real on the watercolour paper.I then photographed it and uploaded the image in Procreate to experiment with digital splashes Once happy with this, I repainted the stag in watercolour and gave it a cooler background So I isolated the stag and dropped it into Procreate to experiment with cooler backgroundsI painted a stag but disliked the warm, patchy background which did nothing to enhance the stag
@valdootson Procreate is a apple digital photo program. you may be able to do the same thing in krita, Gimp or photoshop. She is digitally enhancing the watercolor by using procreate. It would be nice to see this technique don in a open source software or photoshop. Procreate is not available for windows operating systems.
I think the melding of watercolor and digital technology is neat, i have noticed that some of the other teachers I have on here are using photoshop and other digital programs to enhance their work. We live in an exciting time for art with the melding of old and new techniques.
