Shades of Light
Sora & Akebono[
Colour moves like waves, and it is transformed by light. As the reflection of light on matter, colour is the emotional element of a structure. Working on colour effect, one can manipulate the experience of space and add vivacity. Colour is evasive and unpredictable —light, material and the eyes of the observer may change it. It is the result of the refraction of light, the pigments of a material, and the perception. A minimum change in the environment may alter the aspect of a colour and its effect on the spectator.
The Sora coffee table and Akebono side table are inspired by the Japanese characters Sora (空), blue sky, and Akebono (曙色), the colour of the dawn.
