Vital Space and Conflict
I had a look into my vital space and tried to find an object with which I have a daily conflict. I realized that I am a bit paranoic regarding to the tobacco smell that I produce meanwhile I draw, read and spend time in my studio (the pace in which is also my wardrobe). Afterwards the identification of this conflict, I did a brainstorming list that alllowed me to start with my narrative and thumbnails composition.
Sketch & Inking
Trying to express the conflict that I have with the smell of tobacco at home, I thought that a surreal framework to show this tension could be my bathroom, usually a peaceful and aseptic space. As the smoke is an abstract object, I represented the ‘bad smell’ through metaphoric images of it; the fish, the ashtray and the cigarette, and the smoke as such and I faced them with another set of objects that are usually thee opposite to the main object: the perfume, the brush teeth, and the water.
