Thank you Mijal for a great course, it was definitely helpful, inspiring and motivating!
As you can see I have completed some gigs on my Fiverr profile. I posted most of them a week and a half ago and I wonder if I'm priced too high? Maybe my work don't stand out?
So far the only messages I've gotten have been spam.
How long did it take you before landing your first gig?
Do you have a tip in order to get into the market and get the first gig and get the ball rolling?
Unfortunately I live in Norway where everything is expensive, and we pay a lot of taxes so I can't price myself too low. I also have a lot of expertise and experience I want to valuate. I really want to make this a living and get into the market, but the vast competition makes me wonder if there is hope for me on Fiverr.
All help appreciated!
:) Helen

Teacher PlusHelen hi!!
Let me start by saying your work is amazing!!!!! Totally original and bold. I LOVE it!!!!
I don't think you are pricing too high AT ALL. I think your work worth more! I think you are good in the prices. The thing is, that right now you are competing with other sellers without reviews, so your prices may be on the higher end. My recommendation is to lower them FOR NOW, to get your first projects, and then start going up. Look at it like a 1 month investment.
shot me a message on fiverr, my user is mijalzagier
I sold my first gig about 2 months after publishing. That was 6 years ago, so maybe now it is different.
My other recommendation is to get the wheels rolling. You need reviews. For that, my recommendation is that you get some clients OUTSIDE of fiverr and make them use fiverr to purchase, this way they can leave reviews. they can be small orders from family and friends. just to get you started and get some good reviews.
I will be happy to discuss with you anything else!

@mijalzagier Thank you so much for taking the time to answer me, I really appreciate it! And I'm so happy to hear that you like my work, as I do yours!
Thank you for your tips and advice, I will try them out! I agree that it's smart to get started and get reviews, so lower my rates in the beginning sounds smart...
I'll send you a message on Fiverr, see you there, and maybe I'll take you up on discussing with you more if I have any questions in the process. You're the best!
