I taught myself to draw using a book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards. The book was recommended to me by a friend Erika Cox in the 1980's. I could scarcely believe the improvements the exercises in the book made to my drawing and I quickly gained confidence.
I stopped drawing for many years and wondered if I would be able to do any passable work again. I am now almost retired and these drawings are from the first classes I have had with Robert Kelly. Monday's are exciting for me now as I look forward to my class with Robert and my class mates.
I am so excited by this course and I love the energy of Ms. Kim and her illustration talent and imagination. It is just so great to be exposed to new materials and ways of seeing.
