I traveled to Spain for 2 weeks in the summer of 2022 in order to film my Domestika course! I also took some time to explore Madrid, Toledo, Cuenca, and Valencia with my sketchbooks and painting kit.

MADRID

CUENCA

A small town on a very steep hill. Every corner has something interesting to sketch. I liked it here a lot and explored as much as I possibly could during my visit of 2 full days.

TOLEDO

I was only here for one day but it was really inspiring. Very interesting medieval city, where Jews, Muslims, and Christians all lived relatively harmoniously in close quarters.

VALENCIA

A smaller city on the Mediterranean Sea, historically known for its fishing industry, and has one of the best city cycling systems I've experienced! I spent 3 days biking around meeting other urban sketchers and exploring the narrow alleys of the city center.
