Thank you for posting your work. I can see that you worked on both textured and smooth paper. I wonder which you prefer? Sometimes it can be a case that an artist is used to working on one or other of the surfaces rather than one or other surface is better.
Either way, I particularly like the left hand version as you have glints of brightness on the seeds, giving them a juicy feel.

i noticed the lack of hilight after i posted. posting was SO!!! complicated that I didn't even try deleting and reposting.
i prefered hot pressed for this. not sure why. i did the hilights with Dr. Martin Bleedproof white on the left and used liquid paper (correction fluid) on the one on the right (not shown here) because these were so tiny and I wasn't aiming for museum grade art work :)
the gouache was a fun thing to try but I need more practice. the result is uneven and shiny at places. Also cleaning my brushes took 4EVER! maybe you have some tips on cleaning brushes full of gouache ? thank you for this beautiful course and hope it is a success for you so I can see more :)
