THE DEAL
Design and develop a responsive, ecommerce website for LET'S EVOLVE BOOK SERIES, a set of 5 thought provoking books written by indian authors Nehha Lohiya and Veena Verma with the intention of helping you live the best version of your life by sharing the decoded aspects of human existence.
The clients approached me to create and develop the brand for Let's Evolve by redesigning all the covers and internal pages for all 5 volumes followed by designing a whole new website experience online.
Exciting, would be an understatement!
THE DOPE
In the course of conceptualizing and creating the book covers, the design language for the brand was clear. We wanted to give the viewer a unique, visual experience visiting the website.
This was definitely not going to be an academic website.
The goal of the website was the promotion and sale of the book series. We simplified this by creating core pages that highlighted all the books through the use of bespoke imagery and relevant snippets of content.
The central theme of the website is the usage of the Flower of Life in various forms across all pages. An important element in the spiritual journey of human existence, its meaning and colors has been explained in detail in Vol.01 and therefore given central importance on the covers of every volume of the series.
Each book has been given a individual page highlighting its synopsis, the list of topics for ease of reference, a glimpse of images used within each book, reviews from readers around the world and how an interested viewer can purchase it.
We opted to use the rich, spiritually relevant colors of Purple, Gold and white as part of our color pallete.
The design of the virtual bookstore and amazon kindle layouts follows the user interface of well known e-commerce pages to foster a sense of familiarity and avoid buyer confusion.
Heard the phrase, 'paralysis by analysis' ?
We have also give viewers multiple purchase options. You can either buy the printed books directly from the website and have it shipped globally from India or order them from your local Amazon online stores in your country or choose to purchase the eKindle versions for instant reads.
Isn't that awesome?
Now these books wouldn't exist without the ones who created it, right? So one can also get to know more about each author by visiting their respective pages, reading their stories and can also choose to connect with them via social media.
The complete re-branding endeavour helped revamp the Let's Evolve brand's identity for the client through the website for their readers, refined new viewer perceptions, opened up collaboration opportunities and encouraged sales.
That's evolution in a way too, isn't it?
