Final project for Alai Ganuza's color theory course.
This was done in Golden OPEN Acrylics. I studied oil painting in college and this was a great refresher course to dive back into painting. This is looser than I typically paint, and this is the most I've thought about color in a long time. I couldn't quite commit to doing the background last, cause that's not how I was taught at university.
I like Alai's octopus plushes, but I substituted a Lazy Cat Summit plush for a more personal touch at the last minute. My plush's name is Pete. He indulged too much in avocado toast, and now he can't afford a house.

I saw your project when I was randomly browsing on Domestika and I absolutely love it. The colours and composition are lovely. :)
Beautiful colors! Love the looseness - it works really well here, especially for something like avocado. The cat stuffy is adorable too. Cheers!
