"Home Sweet Home” installation is a room completely covered with rubber bands, from floor to walls which are decorated with paintings, drips of color, resins and pigments. It’s the room of my lost family home, the room of memories, of melancholy, secrets, intimate space and even a room to discover a mysterious cave. A room that evokes the space of the house that is our living space and that becomes our "corner of the world", our "first" world. The audience is immersed in the elastic and colors and is tempted to touch and walk, interacting with it, so the work is a real sensory involvement and mental health. The elastic forces which, represent memories and dreams, which change in space. The rubber bands are our life that is changed every day. The house-installation is an environment of elastic forces in a changing environment, which expands, contracts, ideally, but also concretely, like troubles, anxieties and emotions.
This work is an important step in my artistic career and was my thesis topic.
My objective is to create a home where everyone can feel his/her heart beating in an intimate space. A sort of time machine to go to back in time, back to the dark cave, to the womb, I would like to create a place where our life is born and lives.
