Final Course Project: For my final projects I chose to do the following:
"A Feathery Chorus!" - I chose these four lovely songbirds by photographer, Rob van Mourick, for my version of the final assignment of the four birds on a branch. The birds are as follows from left to right: Eurasian Blue Tit, European Stonechat, Blue-headed Wagtail, and a European Robin.
Final Project: A Red-legged Honeycreeper - This stunning bird photograph was taken in Costa Rica by photographer, Renáta Kvapilová.

Composition is so important! On the four bird piece I wanted to keep the viewer drawn into the picture. This was a little tricky (thanks for your input) and in the end, I was very pleased with the result. Thanks for your compliments and always encouraging me.

Dear Judy, very sweet, your birds. I particularly like the way you design the branch they are perched on. I've never seen it like this before. Great idea to structure it with lots of stains. :-)

Thank you for your lovely compliments! I am glad you like the title - I was looking for something descriptive for the songbirds to reflect the personality of the piece. I enjoyed applying the techniques learned in the course to my final project - the Red-legged Honeycreeper as well. It was a lot of fun doing both of these pieces as my final projects.
I very much enjoyed learning the techniques you taught in this course. I feel so much more confident in my abilities to paint birds without the need to always be extremely detailed. The freedom and spontaneity that it has given me is quite welcomed. I have already recommended this course to a number of other folks, who have decided to take it and will continue to do so in the future. You are an excellent instructor. Your lessons are both clear and easy to follow. I love painting birds and I really appreciate all your encouragement, welcomed your feedback, and had a great time taking this course!!
