New Scientist - "How our environment is making us sick, and what we can do about it"

I was commissioned by New Scientist to illustrate an article on subtle and hard-to-detect pollutants in our environment. This was one of those rare and special assignments where the art director doesn't require multiple sketches and was open to my first interpretation. Sketch and final below.
