I shaved it as much as I could and then put a line of x's to prevent further snagging.

This was a project to restore and repair a sweater belonging to my late husband, as a gift for his longtime friend. It was therapeutic for me to repair this sweater full of holes and make it into something new, using colours my husband would have liked and referencing his French (red/white/blue flags) and Italian (just a hint of olive green) backgrounds. Every mend was a practical one and I like the different patterns that emerged for different types of holes/fraying/pilling.

This course came up at exactly the right time for me and I am extremely happy to have completed this project which I've been intending to finish for over a year!
