I was really inspired by the course so I started a visual diary!
Not a daily thing, just to keep memories of something that mattered at the time.
Botticelli-catboy collage is about my frustration with travel limitations and knowing I may never get to Japan so I drew kokeshi dolls as something that I might be missing.
Madonna collage is about me so tired with the kids sometimes that I want them to grow up quicker even though I really want them to stay little forever. So I usually stop and smell their hair or touch their toes to remind myself I will miss it too soon. (All this is written in Ukrainian using the awkward font I invented :) )

Teacher PlusIt is great to see the work that you created for "Make Art Your Own." I appreciate how your life informs your art, and how deeply you reflect on what you create and why. There's human emotion that comes through especially in the stories you share, if even they are small vignettes. In this diary, I like the font that you created, as it is visual and not just textual (shown alongside the collage, the Kokeshi dolls, and other images). The words become their own kind of picture. Thanks for sharing!
