For this project I chose to design the house I'd like to live in.
The first step was thinking about general disposition of space. As indicated by the course, very freely and drafted the ideas on a piece of paper.

I had this idea of a house where the second floor would be bigger than the first one, there would be some empty space under it.
After messing around with different perspectives, I decided that a 1 vanishing point approach would be the best way to show the back of the house and its space distribution. Every time I tried a different perspective, the walls would block the view.

I also decided to add a front view. With a low horizon line and two vanishing points in order to transmit a sense of magnificence.
Another very important part of the design are the two beams that traverse the house on the outside going through the empty space under the second floor. It was my way of creating a flow to it, to connecting everything. These two views also allowed me to show this continuity on both endpoints of the beams.

Just like the professor said, I kept adding details and improvising every step of the way... different ideas just kept coming.

In the end, this is what I came up with =)
Still LOTS of room to improve, but I was very happy with the course. Learned a lot!
