Even though I work as a professional photographer for more than 10 years now, I still took so much from Kimberlys Course.
In my project I tried to apply what I learned in the course. I planned it as described, chose my color scheme and set up a plan for the whole shot before I even started cooking.
On my three pictures I tried out different color schemes. For my soup I worked with alike colours on the colour wheel, for my dip I worked with a complementary contrast and for the picture of the cookies I planned an almost monochromatic colour scheme.
This course has definitely put me forward in my work as a food photographer and food blogger.

Gratuluję!👍
All 3 are very impressive!
Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. What do you feel you applied from the course in these shots and what do you feel you'd like to continue to develop?
@Kimberly Espinel I wonder why the description of the pictures aren’t showing :( But nevermind, I can still add it here.
So for the soup picture I wanted the colours used to be close to each other in the color wheel. I wanted it to look fresh, light and healthy and I tried to create more movement than I usually do.
For the picture of the whipped dip with molten tomatoes I wanted to play with a complementary contrast (red/green). I’m not 100% happy with the placement of the additional tomatoes.
The last picture are cookies instead of pancakes because I’m almost afraid of cookies - of all food imaginable I like photographing cookies the least. I wanted a rather monochromatic colour scheme with a rather dark and cozy feel to it.
Overall I feel like my planning has improved a lot since watching your course! But there’s honestly so much I took from it, I don’t even know where to start. It’s many little things that just add so much!
@kuechenchaotin I also find cookies difficult but I think you did a wonderful job on all the photos!
