Little Big Places is a university project developed between the cities of Istanbul (Turkey) and Weimar (Germany)
The project took place two weeks in June in the neighborhood of Beyoğlu in Istanbul, known for its young people, tourists and street music.
The project was focused on tourists who were visiting Istanbul for a short time. The concept was to discover new places to visit in the city of Istanbul by recommendations of other people.
A postcard was specially designed for the project, with some information to fit on the front and a map of the city on the back. Some people were asked to take a postcard and draw something or some place from the city he has enjoyed and wanted to share with other visitors.
A hole interactive experience was developed and the result were personalized postcards, with information from the creator and a mark on a map where to find the drawn place or thing in the city. The postcards were exchanged between the people who participated and some new places where discovered in Istanbul in a beautiful and unique way.
