My project in Acrylic Illustration: Create a Magical Universe course

I've really enjoyed this course, it's given me the inspiration that I needed! I decided to focus on myths, creatures and deities from various cultures for my arcana with the names in Cymraeg to represent my own culture. I think I'm going to do the whole major arcana and I'm working on a few now!
Yr Hierophant: The Hierophant represents education, learning, counsel and knowledge, so I have chosen the Indian god, Ganesha, who is the god of wisdom and knowledge.
Yr Ymerodes: The Empress represents feminine power and fertility so I have represented this with the Aztec god, Coatlicue who was the mother of the gods and the patron of childbirth.
Marwolaeth: The Death card is actually about renewal, rebirth and the end of phases rather than an actual death which I thought was really interesting. I have represented this with the Egyptian god, Khepri, who is the god of the creation and renewal of life and is represented as a scarab beetle.

Teacher Plus@carys_fletcher It is a wonder!!! I love your cards and creations. They have a lot of strength and a different visual expression. Very own yours. Each card has something of a symbol, an icon, something of its own, something magical. Like it links with other cultures, mythologies, tales or stories, but it is a mixture created from passing all those myths through you. That is why it fascinates me.
It is great to be able to see the entire creation process, from the sketches, to the ideas, to the most finished or closed illustrations.
The truth is that I tell each student, but seeing your work and cards as a teacher always makes me curious to imagine a whole deck of tarot illustrated by each one of you. In your case it would be fantastic.
And thank you for showing the whole process and putting into practice what was shown in the course. I am proud to have students like you !!
