Hi! I'm Natallia. I am a food photographer based in Abu Dhabi. I love learning new things every day that's why I didn't want to miss the opportunity to watch the course by Vega Hernando Gastronomic Creativity and Pattern Composition. I was fascinated by the idea to make food patterns complicated, to use a lot of elements and try different cuts. By the way at the time I was going through the course I had the client who was interested to get one of those shots for his Instagram collection. I discussed the main colors with the client and sat down to create first sketches in Photoshop.
Sketches in Photoshop

Before the photoshoot I prepared extra tools on a separate tray to use for the final touch in the scene. A bottle with glycerine and a dropper to make accurate drops. A spray with still water. Brushes, scissors, cotton buds and tweezers. Kitchen towel to absorb unwanted water. Also I pre cut the kiwis and cucumbers but left them joined to preserve the freshness of the ingredients and prevent them from drying.

I had to carefully select the ingredients to make sure to use the perfect ones in the scene.

I used the Ipad to set the ingredients in certain places and could see how any alterations affect the scene.

After editing the images in Lightroom I corrected the imperfections in Photoshop.
