I created Along The Pier, a concertina book showing classic British seaside shops, published by Design For Today. I wanted to show a bit of my process behind the scenes too - I make my pictures using collage and paint, then scan them in and arrange them on Photoshop. This book was over two years in the making, as I collected photos of old shops and visited the Yorkshire and Lancashire coastline in the UK.

Your artwork is very beautiful! I am wondering why it took so long to create it? Did it took you 2 years because you were collecting infos and pictures to get inspired by?
Please take note that I am not judging you nor criticizing you in any way. I am just asking because I would like to do a similar project and wonder if I could do it within a month or two. I am asking becsuse when working for clients I have to give them a time frame. Of course the time spent is no bject when you're cearting an artwork for yourself. What matters is the end result right?
