Hi! My name is Anya, Im from Saint Petersburg, Russia c:
This is my project for the course. I hope its ok that I used markers for my first layer instead of gouache. I tried gouache on my first piece and it didn't work out cause im not really into water involved technics. Hope its fine!
Anyways, I really enjoyed the course and pretty happy with what I came out with:3
Although I can see that contrast between the wall and skin is like non existing; and maybe I should have used a little air perspective:D
I will be happy to hear some feedback on how to improve my drawing. Thanks for the course and have a nice day!

I like it - and like how you include your own drawing (drawing!) my only suggestion is to draw the piano further back? it seems a little too crowded for room -even if in reality it is that close -I think it would open up the picture by moving it slightly back. good job love all the details!

Teacher PlusLovely illustration!
I think the markers work really well. And I don't mind that the wall color and skin color are very similar. You've created a barrier with the back of the chair. (And I don't mind the piano being so close actually)
I'm not sure what advice to give you, it just looks really good! Did you enjoy making it?
The only thing I can think of is loosen up a bit? try out new materials and don't think about the result. If you make something ugly, accept it. The first 20 times (at least) you try a ''new'' material, or draw a ''new'' subject you drawing will probably be ugly! (mine are) and that's fine!

@Sarah van Dongen Yes, I really enjoyed making it! Totally agree with your advice, I’ve always suffered from perfectionism, it wouldn’t let me experiment as much as I’d like to. Gonna try gouache again for sure! Thank you so much, you’re such an inspiration!
