Bonjour,
Je n'ai pas reussi à rendre ce portrait ressemblant ni même une atmosphère interessante.
Même avec la grille , je trouve le coté droit du visage trop large et sa bouche donne une expression étrange.
Que dois je corriger pour améliorer l'ensemble ?
J'ai beaucoup aimé votre cours et je repars de ce pas faire un nouveau portrait avec une image plus facile pour le fusain que je posterais pour voir si évolution il y a .

Teacher PlusHi there. This is a very good likeness but the photo is difficult to use as there are no real extremes in tonal values. But you have done a great job regardless.
These steps will improve it through.
Take a photo of your drawing and the photo side by side to enable you to see the differences.
1. Make the hair on the right hand side darker like the photo
2. Slim down the right hand cheek just a fraction. Look at the negative dark space between ear and earring (black triangle). Make this your starting point to fix because this needs to be larger on your drawing and then work from there.
3. With the awkward section to the left hand side of the mouth, remove the lighter area that you have incorporated. Smudge it out and it will look improved. Unfortunately the system won’t let me upload a photo here to help, but hopefully you understand what I mean.

@sarah_stokes Thank you for all the information, I will try to correct my drawing but I have already fixed the charcoal.
I'm curious to see if I can even make it evolve a bit.
