Essa série foi fotografada em minha viagem na Colômbia em 2019. Tentei organizar a série em 4 mini-séries de 3 imagens. Todas as fotos foram tiradas usando meu smartphone.
Hi, @mgmandelli
Thank you for completing the course and submitting the project.
Your project has a very marked clarity of intention and execution.
The themes and characters are very well defined, as well as the way you photograph them. The light is almost always soft and uniform.
In the first three, architecture predominates over human figures. For me, these images are a little cooler than the others, more related to space than to people. In fact, are you an architect? I ask this because all the photos have a very precise construction, with the elements well organized in the frame and a very clear separation between the subject and the background / environment.
In the other series you get a little closer, connecting us more with people. There is never an incredible action taking place, but you can transform these everyday scenes into interesting images through composition, the strength of the characters, the colors and the subtle gestures. It feels like the afternoon of any day in a quiet city, and you convey that very well. Some of them seem to be waiting, but without much expectations. Anyway, very good. I think you already have a well-defined, distant, discreet, calm style ... now you have to keep shooting and think about what to do with this material, which is already very cohesive.
@gustavominas Thank you very much, Gustavo! I am happy with your comment.
Answering your question: I am not an architect, but I really like architecture. As I said in my presentation of the course, when I moved to Brasília I was a little frustrated by not being able to take pictures of people on the street here. However, what cheered me up is that Brasília is a full plate for architectural photography, which is what I did the most here. I like it when I can add elements of architecture to the characters, especially in the first 3 images.
When I do, I'm always trying to experiment with different styles of photography and learn new things. So, I congratulate you for the excellent course. It brought me a lot of inspiration for when I get to shoot again.
