In this project I made several animations: The most subtle one, the enervations of the gills of the axolotl in shadow (frame by frame), the axolotl walking (frame by frame), the plants facing the front of the fish bowl (keyframe), the distortion of the man's face (frame by frame). I integrated everything in the video timeline to balance the times of each animation. Making the movements look more organic and less spastic is possibly the hardest part. Lots of learning in this course. Each process takes a long time so I publish only one scene but I have the other 2 on the agenda. Thanks to Ina for her support and observations. Until next time.
"... I imagined them conscious, slaves to their bodies, infinitely condemned to an abyssal silence, to a desperate reflection. Their blind gaze, the tiny, inexpressive and yet terribly lucid gold disk, penetrated me like a message:« Save us, save us. "I found myself muttering words of comfort, conveying childish hopes. They continued to look at me immobile; suddenly the pink twigs of the gills straightened. At that moment I felt a dull pain; perhaps they saw me, they captured my effort to penetrate in the impenetrability of their lives. They were not human beings, but in no animal had I found such a deep relationship with me. The axolotls were like witnesses of something, and sometimes like horrible judges. I felt ignoble in front of them, there was such a frightening purity in those transparent eyes. ": fragment of Axolotl by Julio Cotázar
