Bookbinding without stitches I made this book for a series of monoprints I made using mainly plant material from the garden. I photgraped them and printed them on Carnival paper. It's a very thin paper with good wet strength. I stuck them to bifolios that I made from a good quality watercolour paper. I made the deckle edges by tearing. I didn't have any leather or vinyl paper at the time. I did have some beautiful dark blue watered silk. it seemed sturdy enough to use for covering so I slightly adapted the method to use that and finished it with a ribbon and button closure. It took me a long time to do but worth the effort. the part I found hardest was doing the spine but rewarding when it became a 3D object. Thankyou Susana your instructions are clear and well presented So here is my book finished for now. One more thing I may do some calligraphy to insert as a title page. I look forward to making the book in the next course.
