Poscas can give you a bit of a hard time in the beginning, but once you get the hang of them, things become more and more fun. I´m still struggling not to scratch the paper with the nib, any advice is more than welcome!
Great! What kind of paper have you been using? It is to compare with mine. I'm not in the course and I was taking a look at the projects to encourage me to buy it, but I have used Poscas on thick paper and cardboard and without problems.
Hey! Awesome work!!!
I have the same problem here! The paper is not grainy and tiny pices of paper fiber begun to ruin my nib and paint. Maybe is a substance in some kind of papers? hope to finish this awesome course with that problem resolved.
Hi Priscila!
These are spectularrrr. You've got such a skill for picking the colour palettes for each one of these, and your designs are full of life and character. I am obsessed with these cats!
As for specific pen advice, some pens are more friendly than others to use, I've found, but even if you are having trouble, it doesn't show in the final results. The paper scratching can be a problem for thinner nibbed pens if there's not a lot of paint on the nib, so I usually give the pen a good shake and re-fill the nib carefully until it's got a smooth flow on the page. But for some of the larger nibs, there can be small grains that leave little bits on the page, but I don't believe that's an issue with the paper, it's just dried ink that's coming out of the larger nibs (3M and bigger).
Oh and also with the 3M nibs, I've found that some colours are a bit see-though on the page (Khaki green and Navy Blue especially) so I usually put a few layers of the same colour til it looks as even as the others do.
Hi, really nice work! I have had the same problem, with the paper pilling. But I recently tried some Molotow All4One paper which worked better than anything else I have tried.
Best wishes,
Petra
@rubenpires Hey let me know if you solve that issue with paper! I find out that poscas works fine in moleskine sketchbooks, I don´t know why, but they look awesome!
Btw thanks, I´m glad you like my work 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Hey!! Thank you so much, I´m so glad you like my work!!!
I´ve been in love with poscas since I took this course. I really appreciate the advice it´ll be pretty usefull for my upcoming work 🙌🏼
@pog_orozco for lettering I use any paper, even office folios. The ink is liquid enough and dries fast that it can be used on any surface without problems. I have even used it for glass gifts and in my job I made personalized coffee protectors to friends and they were made of cardboard.
@pog_orozco Hey, I'm waiting for a notebook that I sent from England, they say it was made for the poscas. Thanks for the tip, I'm going to buy a moleskin to try it out.

@superl0pez because I have been using hot pressed watercolor paper, made of cotton. What papers do you use with poscas?
