Beehive es el cómic que publiqué en el libro compilatorio editado por Diane Noomin y Abrams ComicArts y que ganó un premio Eisner a la mejor compulación en 2020. Haber sido invitada a participar en este libro junto a 59 autoras de todo el mundo por la mismísima Diane Noomin fue un honor y un regalo del universo y la vía láctea. La misma semana en que conté mi experiencia de abuso a mi psicóloga recibí un mail de Diane invitándome a participar en un libro sobre violencia y acoso sexual. Trabajar con ella y con la editora de Abrams fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora porque manejaron un nivel de profesionalismo que no conocía, estuvieron conmigo en todo el proceso, desde el relato escrito, la escaleta, el storyboard y las págs finales. Lo escribí en inglés y me ayudó a comenzar mi proceso de sanación. Luego lo escribí como un cuento para el libro Avisa cuando llegues editado por Bifurcaciones, también una compulación literaria sobre el mismo tema (invitada por Ale Costamagna y Caro Melys) y luego lo dibujé en mi diario Oscuro. Posteriormente se lo conté en persona a mis hijas y a mi familia cercana.

Beehive is the comic that I published in the compilation book edited by Diane Noomin and Abrams ComicArts and that won an Eisner award for the best compulation in 2020. To have been invited to participate in this book along with 59 authors from all over the world by Diane herself Noomin was an honor and a gift from the universe and the milky way. The same week that I shared my experience of abuse with my psychologist, I received an email from Diane inviting me to participate in a book on violence and sexual harassment. Working with her and with the Abrams editor was a very enriching experience because they handled a level of professionalism that I did not know, they were with me throughout the process, from the written story, the rundown, the storyboard and the final pages. I wrote it in English and it helped me start my healing process. Then I wrote it as a story for the book Warn you when you arrive edited by Bifurlaciones, also a literary compulation on the same subject (invited by Ale Costamagna and Caro Melys) and then I drew it in my dark diary. I later told my daughters and close family about it in person.
