Michał Karcz

I was born in 1977 in Warsaw, Poland, and currently reside in the beautiful countryside outside Warsaw.
My work has always been about journeys to places that don’t exist: locations taken from my dreams, inspirations, fears, and nightmares. In general, my work can be best described as photo-manipulation, because it’s made almost 100% of photos with a minimal application of digital drawing and 3D.
I am a graduate of the High School of Arts in Warsaw, and the School of Business Advertising. My own design work began in 2007 when I decided to focus purely on graphic design and artistic self-development. After 14 years of commercial designing (dozens of music albums, book covers, matte paintings), I feel I have achieved most of my goals and found my own style and place among other creators. It wasn’t easy, but now I can say: It was the right decision. Each year brings something new and I feel I am never standing still as an artist which is very inspiring.
