Santos defines himself as an animal portraitist. After years of taking photos for advertising, he decided to switch to animal photography full-time in 2008. He's collaborated with clients like Affinity, Purina, Cotécnica, Nature's Variety, and Visán, taking unique photos of pets with a fresh, elegant, and fun style that wins over all audiences. Most of his work revolves around dogs, cats, and horses, but he's always looking to explore new territory, such as bird photography.
In addition to his commercial work, he pursues personal projects that dip farther into the art world. He has displayed his photographs in galleries across Spain, like Standarte in Madrid, Setba in Barcelona, and Mediadvanced in Gijón, as well as in the United States, including Rollup in San Francisco and Affordable Art Fair in New York. The aim of his artistic work is to make us reflect on our relationship with animals by giving us a glimpse of their personality through the concept of psychological portraits.

El curso en sí es muy básico pero la información es clara y concisa. Estaría bien tener actualizaciones y tal vez agregar un poco de más detalle en la cuestión negocio. Tipo, ¿Cómo sería ideal venderme como fotógrafo de mascotas? o ¿En qué más debería prestar atención para darle un buen servicio a mis clientes? etc. Las clases son cortas y explican el punto, lo que me parece genial, pero creo que si tenemos profesores que son eminencias en el tema entonces pudiese explotarse un poco más.

I was excited about this course as I have been looking to get into more pet photography. However, the lessons were very short and did not include much detail. In the setup, the instructor went over lighting setup in just a few sentences and moved on even though that is a very key component. Everything was lightly touched upon and really not in depth at all compared to the other courses I have taken on Domestika.

Un fotografo modesto que ama su profesion y un excelente profesor. Me ha gustado mucho porque contiene todo lo que puedes necesitar para empezar a hacer fotografia de perros. El contenido es claro, lo que mas me ha gustado y a diferencia de otros cursos en Domestika, este curso tiene recursos adicionales que son super valiosos, ademas Santos Roman contesta en el foro a sus alumnos, detalle importante y de admirar.
