A video game allows you to build worlds that give players the opportunity to live unique experiences. From the big picture down to the smallest details, it all adds up to creating different sensations. Art director and 3D modeling specialist Daniel Gutiérrez has extensive experience designing sets for independent video games, which you can enjoy on platforms such as Xbox, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

In this online course, Daniel teaches you how to design, 3D model, and texture a low-poly set in Blender and then integrate it into Unity, a world-famous video game development platform.

If you’ve taken his first Domestika course, [Low Poly Character Modeling for Video Games](https://www.domestika.org/es/courses/567-modelado-de-personajes-low-poly-para-videojuegos), you already know how to create low-poly characters. Now it's time to bring those characters to life by creating a universe for them to inhabit.

## Who is this online course for?

Designers, artists, programmers, independent developers, and anyone interested in getting started in 3D modeling and the world of video games. This is also a perfect follow-up course if you've already taken [Low Poly Character Modeling for Video Games](https://www.domestika.org/es/courses/567-modelado-de-personajes-low-poly-para-videojuegos).

In this unit we will know the main peculiarities of the _low poly_ . I will also guide you in the installation of Blender and Unity and we will see a basic overview of the _workflow_ between the two types of software. Finally, I will show you how I carry out one of the basic processes of scenario design: preview.

### Modeling, materials and textures

It is time to start modeling all the _assets_ necessary for our scenario. In this unit I will show you step by step how to deal with the different forms of each element, we will also create UV maps and materials, to apply them in our models.

### Arming stage and post-effects

In this last unit, you will learn how to export your Blender files for use in Unity, where we will set the stage. Once finished, we will proceed to define the camera values, give effects and final details.
