### Introduction

Hi! Welcome and thank you for choosing this Domestika course!

In this unit, you’ll get to know me and my work. I'll introduce myself, talk a little about my past, influences and how I ended up mainly making illustrations for kids and how I learned to like it.

### First Steps

Let's talk about what it means to illustrate for kids and what you have to keep in mind. Plus, I will do all the preparations for the piece like looking for references. I will also show you how to set up a color palette in Procreate.

### Developing the Illustration

This is where the funs begins! I'll teach you how to create the thumbnail keeping the composition in mind and start to lay down colors. Then you'll see how to create the final render. Lastly, you'll look at how to work with layers and clipping masks in Procreate.

### Last Steps

In this unit, you will see how to add the final touches and details. Then, I will show you how to export the piece out of Procreate so it can be posted on Instagram for example.
