### Introduction

Hello, I welcome you to this Domestika course! Thank you so much for being here to learn about foley.

 In this unit I will tell you about my career and experience in the world of sound design and film music. I will also share with you different interesting reference movies in terms of sound.

### The bases

In this unit we will see some general topics necessary to be able to develop the course project. I'll tell you about foley and also give you an introduction to the Digital Audio Workstation (or "DAW"): and the main tools for sound-for-image work.

### Planning and preparation

As in any process, it is important to do pre-production in order to prepare the necessary materials and achieve efficient processes. So you will know what you need, how and when. In this unit I will explain how to do it.

### Recording

In this unit we will get into action. We will record the different types of sound that we need for the scene, going through steps, clothes, and different objects that generate sounds that must be heard in the film.

### Editing and mixing

In this unit you will see how to work with the materials you have recorded, how to organize them and leave them ready for the next step, the final mix.
