## Content

### Introduction

In this unit I will tell you a little about my life, my personal interests and what attracts me most about my profession.

### First steps

In this unit we will prepare our team to start developing in WordPress. First we will install a local environment and WordPress. Then, you will learn to leave WordPres ready to begin developing.

### Introduction to the development of topics

Throughout this unit we will create a very simple WordPress theme. It will not be very useful but it will allow us to know how a WordPress theme is structured and what files it should have.

### Development of topics

Let's do it! Almost all the essential concepts about the development of topics will be learned in this unit. We will develop small parts of the theme in each of the lessons.

### Separate content in templates

Our subject is basically done, but in reality there is still much to be done. If we install it in a site it will work correctly (although in a very basic way). The problem is that we have the code in the same file, index.php. In this unit we will learn to modularize and separate that code into different files so that maintaining that code is easier. We will use the hierarchy of templates of WordPress themes as well as some functions.

### Extending WordPress

Hold on that curves come. Our theme is fine, it is correct and it works but something is missing. In this unit we will discover some special features (some slightly more advanced than others) that will allow us to take our theme to a higher level.

### Themes Son and last retouches

The son themes are those that inherit all the characteristics of the father and then mold it easily and directly. It has many advantages and in this lesson we will learn how to create them and how useful they are.
