### Introduction

Good morning ! I welcome you to this course of Domestika. My name is Morgane and it gives me great pleasure that you are joining me today.

 In this first unit, I will start by introducing myself and detailing my creative and professional background. Next, I will introduce you to some of my main sources of inspiration.

### The basics of knitting

In this unit, I'll introduce you to essential knitting supplies to help you choose the right supplies for your project.

 You'll learn all the basic knitting techniques and see how to make samples with the three great beginner knitting stitches. This will allow you to practice measuring them to create simple models, such as a collar or a scarf. Finally, I'll show you the basic principles of circular knitting.

 Once you master these simple techniques, you'll already be able to make a wide variety of projects and explore all kinds of raised pattern stitches.

### Complex stitches

We are now going to look at slightly more advanced techniques for making cable stitches, lace stitches and raised patterns. You will learn to knit from a chart, to make increases, decreases, cross stitches and openwork.

 You will have access to all the technical knowledge necessary to carry out all kinds of stitches and projects. I will also share my little tips to never run out of inspiration.

### Putting into practice

You have now mastered all the techniques that I have presented to you. We will finally be able to tackle the realization of the “Sunny” top!

 Before you start, I will present the content of the pattern, and I will explain how the piece is built. You will learn how to take your measurements in order to choose the size that suits you best, then you will make your piece, step by step, applying everything you have learned so far.
