## Content

### Introduction

Hello world! I'm Marios Georntamilis. I manage a visual communication design studio called Boo Republic. Welcome to my Domestika course!

In this unit, you will get to know more about me. I will introduce myself and share my story on becoming a designer and illustrator. I will talk about my inquisitive nature, which — as well as getting me into trouble — led me to a career in design. I will also share my influences and, as a bonus, my lame haircut from the 2000s!

### Visual Identity and Folklore

In this unit, I will review the foundations of the methodology we apply in Boo Republic. You will learn how we work on a visual identity design for a branding project, using historical references in literature, art, and books.

### The Design

Start your engines! In this unit, I will demonstrate how to transfer your ideas into Adobe Illustrator and begin designing. From setting the concept to designing the logo, packaging, and product labels—worry not! For we will be cruising together along the great boulevard of design.

### Post-production

Fancy going one step beyond? In this unit, I will demonstrate how you can enhance and emphasize your key visual using the artisanal printing method of linocut.
