“Posing the Character In this lesson, I’ll show you how to draw some poses for your character. I usually have this collection of reference photos that I take of myself whenever I feel inspired or I need to. I find it convenient to have some pictures because I can reference the clothing folds and just the general pose that the character has. In this case, I'm using a prop that is a camera and the clothing is pretty similar. I took these photos from my archive and I'll use them now. This is the first pose we’ll draw. Initially this helped her improve and later became the way she attracted work. Clients regularly contacted her for commissions and she collaborated with various publishers. Later, she worked as an assistant character designer at an animation studio.
Since then Magdalina has continued to work in the animation industry as well as making her own online tutorials about drawing and character design. She has worked for clients including DreamWorks TV, Spin Master, and 3dtotal, and on projects such as the character design book Heroines, and the short film Goodbye Mr.Octopus, which was presented at the Venice Film Festival.
