Have you ever thought about using your needle, thread, and time to tell inspiring stories? Designers and art therapists Olivia Silveira and Ana Luiza Nigri weave stories of social transformation through Projeto Fio, a brand that goes far beyond fashion itself, training a network of women from the communities of Rio de Janeiro to make a living off embroidery while also using it as a form of creative expression.

In this course, create a botanical pattern to embroider onto the garment of your choice. Olivia and Ana Luiza teach you techniques for drawing your pattern onto the fabric and the basic embroidery stitches to bring it to life.
