Portrait Sketchbooking: Explore the Human Face

I really enjoyed this course, perhaps because doing portraits is possibly my favourite thing and the one where I have more experience. I liked the fact that the teacher used pencils, which is also my favourite medium.

Really good teacher and she explains very well. I was expecting more explanation on technique but it is very good still. I really recomend for someone who knows this medium and draws already

This was a good course for someone who already has some fundamental drawing skills and understands the medium. I really enjoyed it because I admire Gabriela Niko and am eager to learn more about her artistic techniques. I will be looking for more courses she is teaching.

I liked it, but I was expecting more technical and ways to draw , from rough sketching to final realistic drawing. but it was sure a good start, thank you

El curso de retrato en Sketchbook con Gabriela Niko superó todas mis expectativas. Su manera de explicar es clara, paciente y muy inspiradora. Aprendí no solo técnicas valiosas de dibujo digital, sino también a observar con más detalle los rasgos del rostro humano. Gabriela tiene un estilo único y transmite su pasión por el arte en cada lección. Recomiendo este curso al 100 %, tanto para principiantes como para quienes ya tienen algo de experiencia y quieren perfeccionar su técnica.

Lei è bravissima e veramente piena di talento. Però questo non è un corso, è una raccolta di lei che disegna cose, senza spiegare minimamente perché o come. Io disegno e capivo cosa e perché lo faceva, ma per chi vuole imparare questo corso non serve assolutamente a nulla, perché semplicemente non è un corso ma una bella raccolta di video di lei che fa dei bellissimi disegni.

Gabriela is an excellent artist and educator. Everything is explained in a simple and helpful way, i am glad i chose this specific course!

La artista me encanta, es buenísima.
Pero el curso no me gustó, sentí que era un podcast en el que la estaba viendo a ella dibujar, hay videos en youtube gratuitos que te enseñan.
Este curso no lo recomiendo tristemente, pero su otro curso sí.

Me está gustando mucho el curso. Las explicaciones de la profesora son claras y fáciles de seguir, lo que hace muy accesible el proceso de aprendizaje. Además, ver cómo aplica su propio estilo al retrato es muy inspirador y fue justo lo que me motivó a tomar este curso.

Der Kurs hat mir gut gefallen. Man wird Stück für Stück an die Sache ran geführt.
Es wird einem gezeigt wie das Gesicht aus verschiedenen Perspektiven gezeichnet wird.
Wenn ich jetzt im Nachhinein mein Skizzenbuch anschaue, kann ich deutliche Verbesserung von der ersten zu letzten Seite sehen!🤗

Found the ‘proportions’ section extremely confusing and lacking crucial information, sadly the author/tutor doesn't appear to be responsive - a similar question to mine was asked 2 years ago with no reply to them either I’m not new to portraits but am new to this method, my questions world have taken 5-10 minutes to answer but, as it is, I won’t be able to get further
